Please note FOR ALL POSITIONS: If you do not hold a valid WA state teaching certification or have not been fingerprinted through an approved source within the last (24) months, proof that you have begun the fingerprint/background check investigation process must be on file with Human Resources prior to beginning your employment. (Please provide us with a receipt from Educational Service District 189.) All employment is considered temporary until completion of a satisfactory background check has been received by Human Resources.

Also, on August 18, 2021, Governor Inslee announced a directive requiring all public and private K–12 school employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or obtain a religious or medical exemption by October 18, 2021. This will apply to new employees as well as all subs, coaches or stipend holders, so you may be asked for proof of vaccine or approved exemption upon hire.

Immigration Reform and Control Act Requirement:

The recommended applicant, if not a current employee will be required to complete an
INS 1-9 form and must provide proof of employment eligibility.

Disclosure Statement and Background Check:

Pursuant to chapter 43.43, Washington Laws of 1990, the recommended applicant will be required to complete a  disclosure form indicating whether he or she has been convicted of crimes against persons listed in the law. In addition, a background check, based on fingerprints and at employee expense, will be requested from the FBI and Washington State Patrol (https://www.nwesd.org/fingerprinting/).
Employment status is contingent on verification of background check clearances.
